Inventors and Their Inventions (G3556AP) $16.95 $8.48

This book is designed to teach students in grades 3–6 to investigate inventors and their inventions. It provides ten different stories. Each story is followed by discussion questions, creative questions, and extra activities. There are two culminating units: a research unit and an invention unit in which students create their own products through the invention process.

In today's society, it is very important that our students learn how to work independently and that they understand the research process. Students can begin to understand this process as early as kindergarten. By the time students are in the intermediate grades, they should be able to research any topic, cite sources, take notes, organize data, write a paper, produce a product that reflects the research, and present their research and product in an oral presentation. These skills are very important to students for their future in high school and college.
