Each book contains 3 units. Included are letters, documents, photos, diary excerpts, cartoons, art, maps, ads, and other primary sources. By learning how people of the periods actually felt, students will better understand the people and events that shaped the history of our nation. CCSS: Cite specific textual evidence to support analysis of primary and secondary sources. Determine the central ideas or information of a primary or secondary source; provide an accurate summary of the source distinct from prior knowledge or opinions. Gr. 5 & up.
