Activities include abstract mind games, puzzles, and word challenges that utilize visual material that you present on a board so that the whole class can see them. They are great for white boards and smart boards as well! SAMPLE ACTIVITY: Students are asked ten questions about two similar, but different, shapes. For example, “Which shape would make the best wheel? Why?” Or, “If these were cookies, which one would your mother or brother have made, and which would have been purchased at the grocery store? Why?” Grades 2–6.
