This learning unit was created to introduce youngsters to important weather concepts in a fun-filled way. An equally important objective of the unit is the development of crucial critical and creative thinking skills. The activities were specifically designed to encourage divergent thinking, flexibility of thought, fluent production of ideas, elaboration of details, and originality. They may be adjusted to suit your particular teaching style and/or the ability levels of the children. You might also want to rearrange some of the activities to coincide with weather conditions.
