Beloved tales, including several Caldecott Medal winners (books not included), are the basis for activities to improve reading and writing skills and to encourage critical and creative thinking. There are a total of 40 literature units, 10 per book!

Each unit begins with a series of discussion questions based upon Bloom’s Taxonomy. Following these questions are project ideas developed to encourage creative thinking and writing. Charming illustrations and stimulating activities motivate youngsters.

Included are the following titles: A Pot Full of Tales; Under the Fairy Tale Tree; Multicultural Legends and Tales; Monsters, Magic and Make-Believe; and Using Children's Literature.
